General Clinic Information
WHAT IS XPRESSIONS MEDICAL?
Xpressions Medical is a Nurse Practitioner–led clinic providing accessible, evidence-based healthcare for individuals and families across Ontario. We offer primary care services, women’s health, mental health, sexual health, and other specialty consultations, both in-person (Windsor–Essex region) and virtually throughout Ontario.
ARE YOUR SERVICES COVERED BY OHIP?
At this time, our services are private-pay, as Nurse Practitioners in Ontario are not yet authorized to bill OHIP directly. We anticipate this will change in 2026, when OHIP coverage for NP services becomes available. Until then, all visits are billed directly to patients, and receipts are provided for potential reimbursement through private insurance or health spending accounts (HSA/PHSP).
WHO PROVIDES CARE AT XPRESSIONS MEDICAL?
All care is provided by a licensed Ontario Nurse Practitioner (NP-PHC) with advanced training and prescribing authority under the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Our NP provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, ordering of labs and imaging, prescribing, and referrals when required.
DO YOU ACCEPT CHILDREN OR FAMILIES?
Yes — both individual and family patients are welcome. Our age range for providing care is age 6 and above. Families may register together through our Family Intake appointment, which accommodates up to four household members. For children under 16, a parent or guardian must attend all appointments.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Our main clinic operates in Windsor–Essex, Ontario. We also provide virtual care province-wide through secure video or phone consultations.
VIRTUAL CARE (ONTARIO WIDE)

Virtual care is available to any patient residing in Ontario with access to a stable internet connection or phone line. You may register as an ongoing patient or book one-time specialty consultations.
WHAT TYPES OF CONDITIONS CAN BE MANAGED VIRTUALLY?

ARE THERE CONDITIONS THAT CAN'T BE MANAGED VIRTUALLY?
Yes. Some assessments require a physical exam and cannot be performed safely online. Xpressions Medical does not provide in-person follow-up for virtual-only patients outside the Windsor–Essex region. Conditions that cannot be managed virtually include: Abdominal or chest pain requiring palpation Ear, eye, or throat infections needing visualization New or worsening joint swelling or mobility issues Neurological or diabetic foot (monofilament) exams Pap smears, lesion removals, or any procedures If your concern requires in-person evaluation, you’ll be advised to visit a local walk-in clinic, urgent care centre, or emergency department.
CAN I GET PRESCRIPTIONS VIRTUALLY?
Yes. Nurse Practitioners can prescribe medications as appropriate following assessment. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy anywhere in Ontario.

Yes. Laboratory and imaging requisitions can be sent electronically for completion at your nearest facility. Your results will be reviewed during a follow-up visit or communicated securely through the clinic.

Yes. Pediatric virtual visits are available for non-urgent concerns, with parental attendance. Some issues (e.g., ear infections, rashes, or injuries) may still require in-person evaluation.
In-Person & Hybrid Care
(Windsor–Essex)
WHY TYPE OF SERVICES ARE OFFERED IN PERSON?
At Xpressions Medical, we offer a range of in-person family practice and wellness services for patients who prefer face-to-face care. These include comprehensive health assessments, follow-up visits, physical exams, preventive screenings, and women’s health, sexual health, and cognitive health consultations. Certain procedures—such as Pap tests, IUD insertions/removals, and other hands-on assessments—are only available in person. While we are not a walk-in or urgent care clinic, our appointments are designed to provide ample time for discussion, education, and personalized care.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-IN PATIENTS?
No. All appointments must be booked in advance. However, same-week appointments are typically available for registered patients.
CAN I SWITCH BETWEEN VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON CARE?
Yes, if you are located within the Windsor–Essex region. Patients outside the local area can receive virtual care only.
PAYMENTS & BILLING
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept credit and debit cards through a secure, encrypted system. A valid credit card will be collected at the beginning of the appointment, but is only charged after the visit.
